Teaching how the do the “place” command and the process

Loose Leash Walking

Learning how to handle the leash while moving

Adding it all together and making it stick!

Class Checklist

Please bring the following items to every class:

Required:

  • Flat collar or properly fitted training collar (no retractable leashes)

  • 4–6 ft standard leash

  • Treat pouch

  • High-value treats (small, pea-sized pieces)

  • Waste bags

  • Proof of vaccinations (if not already submitted)

  • Water for your dog

  • Crate (if instructed for your specific class)

Dog Requirements:

  • Dog has gone potty prior to arrival

  • Dog arrives hungry (feed slightly less before class for better engagement)

  • No illness symptoms (vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, lethargy)

Participation Policy

For the safety of all dogs and handlers, group class is not appropriate for dogs displaying aggression or moderate to severe reactivity toward people or other dogs.

This includes:

  • Growling, snapping, lunging, or biting

  • Excessive leash reactivity

  • Extreme fear-based or defensive behaviors

  • Any bite history

Dogs must be able to remain under control in a structured group setting. Moore Canine Co. reserves the right to deny or remove any dog from class if safety concerns arise.

One dog per handler is required.

If your dog struggles with reactivity or aggression, private training or behavioral modification may be recommended.
